Yehudit is a passionate, detailed, creative woman with an extensive knowledge of planning top notch, meaningful and spiritual weddings. She created an absolutely beautiful, authentic interfaith wedding ceremony that left my family and guests in joyful awe. Yehudit worked very closely with me and my (then) fiance to carefully listen to our needs, and she was sensitive to both of our unique cultures (Chinese/Christian and Jewish). For example, I had no idea that huge amounts of pure white flowers were really inappropriate for a wedding (that incorporated Chinese elements) until Yehudit stepped in. Even though Yehudit and I had spent a lot of time talking through details, it was clear that the wedding came together because of her behind-the-scenes magic. Her recommendations for the cake, ceremony and reception layout, Chinese lion dancers, etc. etc. helped to make the wedding simply gorgeous. She made sure that all of the vendors were “on-board” (not an easy task!). My wedding was a flawless, celebratory, joyful day that perfectly captured the family traditions and intercultural rituals of our unique backgrounds. Family and guests cannot stop talking about our wonderful wedding!

Just fresh back from a mini-honeymoon and wanted to give a 5 star recommendation for Yehudit and David of Sacred Events with Rabbi Gershon officiating. We had originally thought about eloping which got side-railed from family… sooo… it turned into a SOUP-to-NUTS 115 people interfaith (chinese-jewish) wedding along the sonoma coast in under 3mos to prepare and low-and-behold… YEHUDIT with her interfaith expertise to the rescue!!! Sacred Events was super-responsive to my fiancee (now wife’s) concerns as well as mine throughout the process. Extremely detail organized for the ceremony making sure all elements that were requested by both sides (Tea Ceremony for my wife of Chinese descent et al… to the Glass-breaking/Hora-dancing cavorting of a Jewish wedding…) all was blended seemlessly and was really really special. Plus, Yehudit & David’s extensive planning experience REALLY paid off when the location we had the event was a bit less experienced that we had originally planned… they knew EXACTLY what was needed to pull of a wedding which even included last minute change from TENTED venue to a move indoors due to Gale-force winds (too much prayer for ‘no rain’… didn’t think about wind (who knew?)). Also, they had extensive experience with local vendors and were able to steer me to amazing resources in my stated budget for the other aspects of the wedding we needed (DJ, paper products (invites etc…)) which also were 5-star YELP quality.
BOTTOM LINE: if you are thinking about whom to trust such a big important day to, think no more… Sacred Events is your place to go.

We couldn’t have asked for a better interfaith ceremony planning experience
than what we encountered with Rabbi Gershon and Yehudit.! Since we were
planning our San Francisco wedding from Los Angeles with limited time to actually
travel up north to do wedding-related tasks, all of our planning with the Rabbi was
done via phone and conference calls, as well as via email.! They were so organ-
ized in communicating with us and talking us through things, and we were able to
create exactly the ceremony we wanted without any issue whatsoever.! When the
actual day arrived, we were so thrilled with the dynamic that the Rabbi had with
the minister, who co-performed the ceremony, and happened to be my dad. It
was both low-key and incredibly meaningful- just what we wanted it to be in terms
of the roles that each of our faiths played in it.! All in all, it was overall a genuinely positive and stress-free experience and we were so happy with what came out of it.!

On Saturday evening May 20 at the Calistoga Ranch you performed a most beautiful
wedding service for our son David and daughter-in-law Kathy. We are so grateful for
your desire to honor both their traditions and to bring both families into a circle of
love, commitment and unity. You most certainly fulfilled your mission of addressing
the beliefs and values of both the bride and groom and their families. We deeply
appreciate your willingness to listen to our wishes as presented to you by our dear
friend Linda Kavelin Popov.!
With deep appreciation and gratitude,
-Evelyn and Doug, [mother and father of the bride] Calistoga Ranch, CA

Rabbi Gershon did a truly wonderful job with our ceremony and it was exactly what we had hoped it would be. We have had numerous comments from guests, who all remarked on how wonderful the ceremony was. Thank you for everything you both did to make our day special.

Yehudit Steinberg and Rabbi Gershon are a wonderful team that organize and conduct ritual events such as weddings. Their expertise and wonderful personalities allowed us to enjoy the planning of our service. They provided us with wonderful advice and material; it made our chooses clear and easy to understand. Because we had our service in such a remote area, we were unbelievably grateful for their willingness to travel to our wedding site. Most importantly, our service was amazing. Yehudit organized everyone prior to and during the service with ease. Rabbi Gershon provided such a wonderful service; his personality made my husband and I calm and allowed us to enjoy the service in its entirety. We received so many compliments about the service conducted by Rabbi Gershon and organized by Yehudit. I would highly recommend Yehudit and Rabbi Gershon for ritual events.

Yehudit was a wonderful addition to our wedding planning. Yehudit helped us put together our wedding service, finding both a Priest and a Rabbi that would marry us. Everyone at the wedding thought the officiants must have known us for years, the tone was so perfect. Yehudit kept in touch with us through out the planning, setting up meetings with the officiant and she worked so well with our wedding planner, making sure both our Jewish Ceremony and the main dual ceremony went perfectly. We could not of asked for better memories or a better send off into marriage. Yehudit has continued to keep in contact with us, and we feel her continued blessings with each message we receive. We thank her for her hard work and for making our wedding ceremony the one that we wanted and continue to cherish.” March 15, 2008
- Andria Ruben McCool [Bride] San Francisco Fairmont Hotel
Rabbi Gershon performed our wedding ceremony with Yehudit’s assistance and we were more than pleased with the outcome. Guests told us it was the most moving ceremony they’d ever witnessed. I would highly recommend Yehudit and Rabbi Gershon, especially for mixed marriage ceremonies.
- Cynthia Brody [Bride] Orinda Country Club
My wife Maria and I were married in March of 2008. With the help of Yehudit Steinberg our wedding turned out fabulous! Yehudit was most helpful in every way. She met with us to plan the wedding and helped us to understand the dynamics of the service and the meaning of the rituals. Together with Yehudit we created a very unique and beautiful inter-faith ceremony that included all of our children, a sand ceremony and more. Yehudit helped us incorporate all of our original ideas into the service and we could not be more satisfied with her attention to detail, knowledge, experience and professionalism. We highly recommend Yehudit and are more than happy to answer questions regarding her services. Sincerely, Mitch Goodman

Yehudit, Thank you so much for your terrific help to make our wedding day go so smoothly! With Yehudit at our side, our wedding was a huge success. She listens, recommends solutions, shares experiences, uncovers possible pitfalls, works with and coordinates vendors, is energetic all the while presenting a calm confidence that everything will work out well. And it did! I highly recommend Yehudit. -Michael and Marjorie [bride and groom] Mill Valley Golf Club
We really enjoyed working with Yehudit. She was very respectful and accommodating of our needs as an intercultural couple. I was interested in understanding the symbolic meaning behind each step of the ceremony, and Yehudit was very patient and thorough in her explanations. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Rabbi Gershon worked very closely with our Chinese interpreter to create a wonderful ceremony that my friends and family from China could understand.
- Gloria Rothbaum [Bride] Westin St Francis Hotel San Francisco, CA
Yehudit and Rabbi Caudill designed and planned a ceremony and celebration for me in 2003. I’m not one to be interested in one-size-fits-all traditions–I wanted to create my own. Yehudit quickly grasped the spiritual meaning and emotional tone I was wanting to create for our guests, then much to my delight ADDED some wonderful suggestions to make them better. She also wowed me with her detail-oriented ability to execute and produce those idea. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend her!”
